David Weston has an extensive career in executive positions in both the private and public sector.  He opened his first consultancy business 25 years ago and has move in and out of consulting to take up employment opportunities that offered challenges to found new organisations or restructure existing ones.

He has been actively involved in many business and civic organisations.
WBI is based on a sole practice however teams are put together as the demand requires from our extensive group of associates.

Mr. Weston has held the following executive positions:

  • Chief Executive Office - Adult Multicultural Education Service a government trading enterprise with contracts with both the Australian Federal government to deliver employment services and English language training for newly arrived migrants - annual turn-over $70 million.
  • Chief Executive Officer - William Angliss Institute of TAFE - the largest provider of tourism, hospitality and food industry training in Melbourne, Australia with over 6,500 students including 1,000 international students.
  • General Manager Corporate Strategy - Parks Victoria - responsible for open space planning and management of 16% of the land area of the State of Victoria (Australia) with 1,000 staff in 130 work locations.
  • General Manager Marketing & Development - Melbourne Parks & Waterways - the agency that ran many of Melbourne's attractions and recreational facilities including the Yarra River, Werribee Park historic precinct, the Dandenong Gardens and Albert Park Lake Reserve.
  • Executive Director - Tasmanian Convention Bureau - the industry membership organisation that markets the Australian state of Tasmania as a convention destination.
